Join Andrew Beer (Concertmaster, Auckland Philharmonia) before he begins his new role as Concertmaster of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

This celebratory evening brings together close friends and collaborators from across New Zealand in a programme of chamber music, tango, and audience favourites. The concert will feature duo and trio performances with Sarah Watkins (piano), Ingrid Bauer (harp), James Yoo (cello), Morag Atchison (Soprano) and Rosemary Song (piano). Featured ensembles include the Auckland Philharmonia Principal String Quartet with Andrew Beer, Minglun Liu, Rob Ashworth, and Ashley Brown, alongside AOTANGO Quintet featuring Gordon Hill, Kat Tomacruz, and Grayson Masefield.

Virtuosi - Orchestra Wellington (Wellington) (27 Jun 2026)

Orchestra Wellington's season theme is Collaborations.

New Zealand String Quartet leads the string sections in Edward Elgar's Introduction and Allegro. The orchestra continues with Elgar's cello concerto featuring cellist, Inbal Meggido.

The programme concludes with Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra - a work that demonstrates groupings for the audience to appreciate how an orchestra creates the incredible palette of sounds. This work includes the harp.

Preconcert talk in Renouf Foyer from 6.30pm-7.00pm.
